SL Navy conducted a training exercise, as how to deal with strong water current, at the Sangupiddi Bridge located nearby sea area on 14th November 2018. The exercise comprised two sessions; the morning session from 0900 to 1300hrs and the evening session from 1600 to 1800hrs. The Rapid Action Boats Squadron’s training team conducted the exercise in coordination with the Special Boat Squadron and Navy divers.
This exercise paved the way for participants to get the feel of swimming techniques, swimming with rope across the channel, boats handling against water strong stream, rope rescuing and team management experience to maximize their efficiency in such activities.
