Navy erects collapsed power line in Gomarankadawala

Following heavy rains, the village of Kebulpatiyawa in the Gomarankadawala Divisional Secretariat faced a flood threat as a result of the rising water level of the Yan Oya by 23^rd December. Naval personnel of the Rapid Response Rescue & Relief Unit attached to the Eastern Naval Command made prompt arrangements to restore electricity in the area by erecting the collapsed power line in consequence of flash floods. Twelve 4RU personnel belonging to 02 teams attended the task in coordination with the Ceylon Electricity Board.
