4R sailors pull out stranded wild animals on Yan Oya reservoir site

The water filling of Yan Oya reservoir commenced from 10^th to 20^th December 2018 leaving the wildlife in the area in desperate situation with the inundating reservoir. It is in this backdrop, Sri Lanka Navy - 4R (Rapid Response Rescue & Relief) teams assisted the Wildlife Department to rescue and translocation of various types of entrapped animals. Thirteen (13) 4R personnel with 04 boats undertook this timely act of wildlife rescue.
