4R TEAM CONTRIBUTION OF HADR ACTIVITIES

Sri Lanka navy 4R (Rapid Response Rescue & Relief) teams helped for the flood situation condition around the country on 20-27 December 2019. They helped HADR (Human Assistance Disaster Relief) activities and activated rapidly .from variable bases in island wide contributed with 4R teams. From RABS HQ, RRTA Kaluthara, SLNS Dockyard, SLNS Buwaneka and SLNS Mahanaga bases actively contributed with 36, 4R Teams with Life Saving Gears. They were able to transfer 381 No’s rescued people to the safe location. Distributed food and water bottles more than 100. Meanwhile 4R team members contributed to 105 well cleaning process.
