BOAT HANDLING TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR CIVILIANS IN AMPARA DISTRICT

Rapid Action Boats Squadron of Sri Lanka Navy (RTT-IV & 4RT-3) Trincomalee conducted a four days boat handling training programme in coordination with Ampara District Disaster Management Center at Ampara Lake and the Urban Council swimming pool on 14^th September 2020 to 17^th September 2020.

The course consists with OBM maintenance & handling, basic life support, first aid, basic knots, river crossing, basic swimming techniques etc. 28 no’s of participants undergo the training and after completion of the course all participants were awarded by a certificate from DMC Ampara. The programme was conducted by Lt EP Lokugamage (2IC RTT-IV & 4RT-3) and the training team.
